Always great food delivered quickly. Thank you.
The food was good, as expected. This particular order was placed on New Year's Eve. It took an hour and twenty minutes. They do a poor job with online orders when there is a crunch. While we were waiting we found that all other online order folks had a similar wait while retail orders went out immediately, phone orders and delivery orders went out within 30 minutes.
Food is great; it was delivered hot within 30 mins on a Fri eve. Scallion pancakes are light and flaky
Quick delivery and good food
Excellent quality food for a very reasonable price!
Food was great as usual.
Every time I've had their food I've liked it better than the time before. They even have wonderful rice: a high quality rice, not mushy or over-cooked (do they coat it with a bit of oil?) Order ready and waiting on time.
Fast and delicious!
We ordered delivery and the food arrived quickly, and it was a large order. The hand pulled noodles are delicious. the Henan noodle dish was beautiful and delectable. All servings were large. Taipei Style Beef Noodle Soup perfect for a rainy day. The burgers were on buns with a taste I want again. Homemade? Like the taste of bean filled buns from downtown. Unique. Love the food!
Fantastic food and delivered quickly.
Fast and friendly service. Food items: Dumplings, Lo Mein and Beef with Broccoli were exceptional. Pork with Garlic sauce was good, General Tso's was bad, and Fried rice was awful.
Minced chicken was overly salty.
I was excited to find that one of the best rated Szechuan places in the Boston area was near me. The menu is interesting and a little different - and this was my first order. Although I know Potstickers, H&S soup, and Kung Pao Chicken are hardly "authentic" Chinese, I have been using these dishes to compare restaurants from the time before I knew what "authentic" really was. I have traveled extensively and eaten Chinese food around the world and from coast to coast in the U.S. I like spicy, so gravitate towards Szechuan or Cheng-Du dishes. The Pork Pan Fried Dumplings were excellent! balanced flavors, nice texture. But then the H&S soup was not - It had very little flavor. I was intrigued with what I think was shredded pork instead of the normal "matchstick" and the other ingredients were all there, but the soup was neither hot nor sour. I hoped this would improve with the Xinjiang Spicy Noodles (hand pulled) with Sliced Lamb and the Kung Pao Chicken, but the pattern was the same - very little contrast in flavors. The good news is that the food was fresh, not overly salty, and very edible. I will order again and hope that the missing hot peppers or Szechuan peppercorns will have been found. The white rice was perfect.
Mmmmm mmm good!
Very swift order process
NO FLAVOR AT ALL, "CHOPPED BEEF" WAS LIKE GROUND BEEF, NOTHING SPECIAL, CRAB RANGOON WAS GREAT! ASKED FOR CHOPSTICKS, WHEN I ASKED DELIVERY GUY FOR THEM HE SAID "I JUST DELIVER."
was great, very fresh
Very tasty and always prompt and courteous.
Fantastic! Homemade noodles are to die for!
I highly recommend the spicy hot oil seared noodles. There was just enough kick in the hot oil to satisfy my craving for spiciness. However, the crab Rangoons and egg drop soup were lukewarm upon delivery.
Home Taste is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, especially the hand pulled noodles, Szechuan spicy dishes, and burgers. Great service and great prices. The veggies are always fresh and not overcooked. I feel like they used to give you more veggies with the meat dishes, but that could be seasonal too. The only reason I took off one star is because I ordered delivery for 6:15 and they arrived half an hour early. I know they can't time it exactly, but it should be in the ballpark. Anytime 6-6:30 would be reasonable. But I had ordered before I left work and I wasn't even home yet when the delivery guy arrived, so he had to sit and wait for me.
Spareribs were of excellent flavor but very tough.
I ordered orange chicken on my last order and I have to tell you it was the best orange chicken in the area. I definitely will be ordering from this place more often. The delivery is always prompt.
Good service, food is very average
The lo mein with the hand pulled noodles was divine. the family style tofu had more flavor than any other restaurants. definitely ordering from Home Taste again!
Delivery took nearly an hour on a Sunday afternoon, but the food was
Absolutely the best Chinese food outside of China Town in Boston!
arrived quickly. I wasn't a fan of the food, however.
Great!! And they use REAL Chicken Breast in their dishes... Not Gross Muscled Chicken Organs like Tiki In a few doors down! It was overall quite good!
Easy to order, arrives on time, delicious.
Not really sure why the beef with longhorn pepper was served with onions. Also, the dish did not look traditional, but maybe morr americanized. Slightly disappointed.
Delivery was quick and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious as always. Beef w/ onions and scallions was especially tasty. Scallion pancake w/ egg was a first for me, texture was different but taste was good. Would recommend both.
Food was very good, but portion size was small. Poo Poo platter was supposed to be for 2 but hardly enough for one.
Fast delivery and foot was great! Loved the hand pulled lo mein!
Ordered and immediately headed over to pick it up- couldn't believe it was already ready when I got there. Everything was right, and everything was delicious. I'm always happy with Home Taste- highly recommended!
Home Taste is the tastiest in town. Always reliable and always delicious.
Delivery was speedy and the food was delicious! No place better than Home Taste.
Best noodles in Boston!
Favorite place in Watertown.
Home Taste has the best food in Watertown!
love these noodles
chicken fingers were really good, not very greasy, batter was well fried. some of the better ones ive had in a long time. and the pork fried rice has big pieces of meaty pork in it, not minuscule mystery meat like a lot of places put out
Service was great. Food was ready very quickly. Food was very salty and felt overly heavy. We were so excited to have a szechuan restaurant nearby, but we've now ordered 3-4 times from hometaste and it's just not as good as we were hoping. The homecut noodles are amazing, but the sauces are very heavy. The kung pao chicken was nice but a bit bland and didn't have much chicken. Everything is ok but not great. Bummer.
